Transgender Awareness Week is dedicated to uplifting trans voices through education and advocacy, and takes place annually from Sunday, November 13 to Transgender Day of Remembrance on Saturday. On conclusion of the service a march past will take place in front of hospital, where the salute will be taken by the Mayor and Adm Band. Wreaths from civic, service and association representatives will then be laid. Initially, the closest Sunday to Armistice Day or Remembrance. He will be joined by the King's representative from the Lord-Lieutenant's office, Admiral Sir Jonathon Band. Remembrance Sunday is celebrated every second Sunday of November, on November 12 this year. It is a day marked with somber remembrance and with many services all over the U.K. It is a day to remember and honor the achievements and sacrifices made by both military and civilian servicemen during past wars. The Mayor, Cllr Jamie Hutchison, will lay a wreath on behalf of the borough. Remembrance Sunday is an observance day which is observed on the second Sunday in November in the United Kingdom. Music will be provided by Gosport Solent Brass and a bugler from the HMS Sultan Volunteer Band will sound Last Post and Reveille. The ceremony, conducted by the Mayor's Chaplain, Rev Emma McPhail, will start at 10.58am. Joining them will be representatives from the Royal British Legion, veterans groups, Scouts, Guides, Sea Cadets, Air Cadets and other local organisations. Services of remembrance are a time to remember the members of the armed forces who have died on duty since World War I. Gosport residents are being encouraged to attend the borough's Remembrance Sunday service on 13 November at the Gosport War Memorial Hospital.Īn armed guard, courtesy of HMS Sultan, will form up on the road opposite the hospital.
